How to get here

You can reach us by car:
The LVR-Open Air Museum Kommern is widely signposted at some distance from the grounds. When you approach the area by car via the A1, leave the motorway at exit "Kommern/ Wißkirchen" and follow the signs to the "Freilichtmuseum" (Open Air Museum). There is a parking charge for using the Museum car park: 2.50 €

Advice for Cyclists: You can cycle directly up to the Museum entrance. Bicycle stands have been installed there for your use. Luggage can be stored in lockers.

You can also reach us by Bus & Train:
From Monday to Friday the Museumsbus (Linie 894) brings passengers from the railway station in Mechernich to the Open Air Museum.
